TDI - Lighting

Theatrical Design Interactive - Lighting is a complete, multimedia interactive learning tool for the development of knowledge and skill in the art and practice of lighting design for the stage.

By using audio, graphics, video, animation, text and a powerful and intuitive interface, a student discovers and implements the very practical skills of lighting for the stage.  There are over 100 audio clips & tips throughout the program. By combining text, audio and graphics (including video and animation) you learn from a completely immersive experience, which helps you understand.

TDI - Sound

Theatrical Sound Design Interactive is a multimedia, cross-platform (Windows and Mac) DVD that serves as an introduction to designing audio for the entertainment industry. Great for students and community-theatre members alike, the program uses animations and examples to help explain complex concepts and equipment. The disc includes three video clips and other practice materials to help you get started thinking about designing sound for entertainment - including an award-winning animated short and two segments from a science-fiction adventure.

TDI - MakeUp

Tara Maginnis (webmistress of Costumes.org) describes the entire process of applying the makeup effect as she demonstrates in real time. Learn from a teacher - Tara Maginnis is an Associate Professor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Theatre Department and has been teaching makeup design for over a decade. She is the model - you're not watching some bored model have the makeup applied while the artist speaks from off-camera. The demonstration is directed straight into the camera - not reflected off of a mirror at an odd angle. Chapter menus allow you to jump around the specific points of the lesson making it easier to review.
